The Joint police and Army team today apprehended one youth, Lakhyajit Moran from Kakopathar in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district while he was reportedly on his way to join the proscribed
The Joint police and Army team today apprehended one youth, Lakhyajit Moran from Kakopathar in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district while he was reportedly on his way to join the proscribed ULFA (Independent) outfit.
Police sources said that Lakhyajit, who hails from Tongana village in Kakopathar was coerced by hardcore ULFA (I) cadre Diganta Asom to join the outfit.
However, acting on a tip off, the intelligence agencies intimated the security forces who managed to nab the youth.
