The Konyak Students Union (KSU) in Nagaland has expressed grave concern over the alleged increase in the number of immigrants entering Mon district without valid Inner Line Permit (ILP) and warned all without a valid ILP to leave Mon district immediately.

The student body also warned that action will be taken against those who do not comply with the diktat.

Stating that this blatant disregard for the ILP regulations is unacceptable and undermines the legal framework meant to regulate and monitor the entry of non-residents into our district, KSU
urged the Law Enforcement Agency to conduct regular ILP drives at the Namsa and Naginimora Check gates.

“It is imperative that stringent measures are enforced to ensure that no immigrant without a valid ILP is allowed entry into the Mon District. The presence of unauthorized individuals poses a significant threat to the social and cultural fabric of our community. The KSU stands firm in its resolution to uphold the rule of law and protect the interests of the Konyak people,” said the student body.

It also urged the respective village and town students unions to take the matter seriously.
