Frontier Nagaland demand: ENPO holds joint coordination meet at Tuensang headquarter

The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) held a crucial joint coordination meet at Tuensang headquarters in Eastern Nagaland today to discuss the demands of Eastern people. Though the meeting got over earlier in the evening, the details of the public resolution adopted in it are still awaited.

Meanwhile, the 20 legislators from Eastern Nagaland, who were camping in Delhi, had two rounds of meetings yesterday on the ENPO demands. The first meeting was held with Special Adviser MHA, AK Mishra and Joint Director IB followed by the second meeting with Union Home Secretary, IB Director, AK Mishra, IB Joint Director and Additional Secretary Home, sources informed.

Sources added that the legislators were conveyed that no final draft has been prepared and the document at hand was a working paper which needs to be studied thoroughly. Sources added that there is a need to take opinion from all stakeholders before drafting the final paper and that There is still room for omission and addition.

The source further informed that the MHA has not given any time frame for completion of the final draft. It is learnt that ENLU has officially written to ENPO sharing the outcome of the meeting and have requested ENPO to suspend the agitation. ENLU have also sought appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah but it is not certain whether appointment was granted.
