The Nagaland cabinet headed by the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday has entrusted Eastern Nagaland Legislators’ Union (ENLU) to meet the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization or ENPO to discuss on the findings and recommendations of the Judicial Inquiry Committee (JIC) report on the May 26 Tuensang fiasco.
This was informed by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio after a cabinet meeting at his office today.
Meanwhile, on the issue of regularization of doctors, Rio disclosed that the department of health and family welfare was directed to bring a comprehensive report so that decision will be taken based on the report.
Rio further added that his intention was to upgrade the health care for public throughout the state and therefore it was decided to recruit doctors, nurses and sub ordinate staff however said with all the issues at hand, decision will be take once the department submits the comprehensive report.
It was learnt that the department was asked to submit the report at the earliest before the 15 days period given by the minister health and family welfare to the NHM ends.
It may be mentioned that a meeting between the ENLU and ENPO has been scheduled on Saturday at 11 am.
