National Award-winning actor Ashish Vidyarthi married Rupali Barua from Assam at an intimate ceremony at a Kolkata club today. The wedding was attended by immediate family and close friends.

The bride opted for a simple dewy look, with her hair tied up in a bun and adorned with fresh flowers. She matched Ashish’s white and gold Mundu from Kerala with a beautiful white mekhela chador from Assam. The wedding is slated to be followed by a formal reception later in the evening.

“At this stage of my life, getting married to Rupali is an extraordinary feeling,” said Ashish after their marriage.

Who is Rupali Barua?

Rupali Barua hails from Guwahati. She is a fashion entrepreneur and has been associated with an upscale fashion store in Kolkata.

How did Rupali Barua and Ashish Vidyarthi meet?

They met some time ago and decided to take their relationship forward, said Rupali Barua while actor Ashish Vidyarthi said, “Oh, that is a long story we will share it some other time.”

Talking about what drew her to the actor, known for his complex, dark roles on screen, Rupali said with a smile: “He is a beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”

Born in Delhi on June 19, 1962, the veteran actor has worked in 11 languages in over 200 films. Before marrying Rupali Barua, the actor was married to Rajoshi Barua an Indian actor, singer, and theatre artist.
