Two students from Tripura stuck in Ukraine have returned to 6their home state on Thursday. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb interacted with both the students Jasmine Debbarma and Megha Trivedi upon their arrival and took stock of their situation.
Speaking to the media, Jasmine and Megha thanked the Government of India for arranging the return and the help provided.
Meanwhile, 29 students hailing from Meghalaya have reached back to India. This was confirmed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister further said that two Meghalaya students are enroute to the border of Ukraine while 11 students have crossed over to the neighbouring countries safely.
It is to be mentioned that Hrishikesh Deka, a medical student from Sumi University, is still stuck in Eastern Ukraine, which is barely 60 km from the Russian border. Back home in Doomdooma in Assam’s Golaghat district, the parents of Hrishikesh are praying for his safe return since the situation is worsening in Eastern Ukraine.
