Tripura: Police arrests 6 Bangladeshi nationals for illegally entering India

As per initial investigations, all the six hail from Chittagong in Bangladesh
As many as 6 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by Tripura Police for allegedly entering India by crossing the border.
After receiving specific inputs that several Bangladeshi nationals have crossed the border into India and are taking shelter in a small tea garden in Sabroom’s Harina area in South Tripura district, Sabroom Police conducted patrolling in the area. When those Bangladeshi nationals attempted to flee from the area, police chased and detained them, said Inspector Anupam Das, the officer in charge of the Sabroom Police Station.
During interrogation, they all admitted they are citizens of Bangladesh and hail from Chittagong. Police are interrogating the youths to ascertain their motives behind illegally crossing the border into India.
A case has been registered against them for entering India without valid documents.
