The Tripura government has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for sanctioning necessary assistance to rehabilitate the over 34,000 Brus staying in relief camps in the state.
Speaking on the issue, BJP national general secretary, Ram Madhav stated that the Centre is poised to look into the resettlement of Brus in Tripura based on a letter sent by the Tripura state government to the Centre.
Recently, Tripura royal scion Pradyot Deb Barman also demanded to resettle Bru refugees within Tripura.
Speaking on the matter, the BJP national general secretary said that the Centre would look into the details and take a decision.
