In a massive blow to the Congress in Tripura, state party president Pradyot Deb Barman has resigned from all party posts over differences with the High Command.

Talking to Northeast Live exclusively, the lone heir of the Manikya dynasty alleged that the party has humiliated him.

Deb Barman said that the Congress leadership had asked him to withdraw the NRC petition filled in Supreme Court seeking a similar exercise in Tripura.

He also said that a section of the Congress leaders in Tripura had ganged up against him.
Pradyot meanwhile, ruled out possibilities of joining any party at the moment.
