Tripura CM flags off highway patrolling vehicles

Speaking to the media Dr Manik Saha expressed his concern over the increasing incidence of accidents in the State leading to fatalities.
Tripura CM Manik Saha along with DGP Tripura police Amitabh Ranjan flagged off four highway patrolling vehicles for keeping surveillance on the national highway between Agartala and Sabroom today.
Notably, the National Highway from Agartala to Sabroom covers four districts with a distance of 130 Km.
Speaking to the media Dr Manik Saha expressed his concern over the increasing incidence of accidents in the State leading to fatalities.
It is worth mentioning that Tripura is seeing an increase in accidents every month due to reckless driving often under the influence of liquor and drugs.
The CM further appreciated the initiative of the state police and expressed that the new patrolling vehicles will help in reducing the accidents along the route and save precious lives and property.
Furthermore, CM Saha said that these new patrolling vehicles will be equipped with speedometer, breathalyzer, and EPOS challan delivery machines which will help in reducing rash driving as they will keep a check on the lawbreakers round the clock.
