In yet another success at the national level in terms of ‘performance and growth’ under the leadership of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Tripura received two prestigious awards announced by India Today Group at the ‘State of the States Conclave- 2019’ in New Delhi.

Tripura has been declared as the ‘best performing and most improved’ small state in Agriculture besides being awarded as the ‘overall most improved’ state in the small states category.

Union Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, graced the conclave as the chief guest.

The categories in which the states were judged included economy, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, inclusive development, law and order, governance, entrepreneurship, environment and cleanliness.

Meanwhile, the success came after the state government led by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb laid special focus on the field of agriculture. Apart from this, the state government already initiated a series of plans for all-round growth of Tripura.
