TRIHMS, Naharlagun gets AI-based Smart Parking System

The project has been designed by South Korea based engineers working with Neuros Intelligent Management System (NIMS) India Pvt. Ltd.

In a move that would ease parking woes of the people and also help ease traffic congestion in and around Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday inaugurated the fully automated AI Based Smart Parking System at TRIHMS in Naharlagun.

The project is a part of Itanagar’s Smart City Project and has been built at the total cost of Rs. 27.42 Crore with inclusion of 5 years operation and maintenance cost.

Taking to X, CM Khandu wrote, “Happy to have inaugurated fully automated AI-based Smart Parking System at @TrihmsOfficial, Naharlagun, with increased capacity to accommodate 72 vehicles in 4 towers, a much-needed solution to Itanagar’s parking woes.”

“Technological interventions are essential to enhance the ease of living in urban areas. Thanks for your kind presence Hon Min @KamlungMosang Ji, Hon Min @libang_alo Ji, Hon MLAs @Laisam_Simai Ji, Techi Kaso Ji, Itanagar Mayor @tamephassangBJP Ji and other dignitaries”, he added.

The project has been designed by South Korea based Engineers under Neuros Intelligent Management System (NIMS) India.

Talking about the project, NIMS’s Director of Marketing & Operation for North East Region, Kaku Israel Tamin said that Smart Parking System at TRIHMS is the first of its kind in the country, and they plan to build more such projects in the future.
