Raga MLA Tamar Murtem rubbished allegations levelled by the Congress regarding his involvement in the Trans Arunachal high land compensation scam. Murtem further went on to add that all the accusations against him are baseless.
The Congress on Thursday alleged that Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and three MLAs including Murtem, Yachuli MLA Likha Saya and Ziro MLA Tage Taki had siphoned off a major chunk of Rs 40 crore sanctioned by the Centre as compensation for land acquired for the Trans-Arunachal highway stretch from Joram to Koloriang.
The Congress had alleged that the money was siphoned off by former Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen at the behest of the deputy chief minister.
The Raga MLA further said that he is ready to co-operate if investigations into the matter is handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
