The Swaraj India party has announced its active support to the Humro Sikkim party, the announcement comes ahead of the state assembly polls which are due soon in the Himalayan state.
The Swaraj India party, formed by former Aam Aadmi Party leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan has called the Humro Sikkim as a beacon of alternative politics in the state. The party has also stated here in a press release that Sikkim has been betrayed by the dirty politics of both SDF and SKM.
It noted that the uniqueness of Humro Sikkim in these elections is the fact that the party president is an AIIMS trained doctor Bina Basnett who is also serving as the face of the campaign.
The Swaraj India party stated that they would be working closely with the Humro Sikkim team for designing a joint strategy ahead of the upcoming state polls.
Bhaichung Bhutia is yet to confirm if his party has accepted the support extended by the Swaraj India party for the upcoming elections.
