Rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and former Health Minister of Tripura, Sudip Roy Barman stepped down as an MLA today. Another BJP MLA Ashish Saha also stepped down along
Rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and former Health Minister of Tripura, Sudip Roy Barman stepped down as an MLA today.
Another BJP MLA Ashish Saha also stepped down along with Roy Barman.
After submitting his resignation to State Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty, Roy Barman said he had taken the step in the interest of the people of the state.
Roy Barman also made it amply clear that he will sever all ties with the BJP.

Making a direct attack on Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Roy Barman said that the BJP government has failed to deliver the goods and that it was relieved to step down as an MLA.
Roy Barman also informed that he is travelling to Delhi today however there is not much clarity on his next move.
He will return back to the state on February 12.
