Even though a 12-member Indian Navy team joined the operations today, the bodies of the three victims could not be traced.
The Navy team which had reached Imphal last night, arrived at the rescue sight at around 9 am.
Incessant rains in the morning posed a fresh challenge to the multi-agency rescue workers involved in operations.
As many as 3 people- Sagakpam Rajiv, his brother S Romen and their cousin sister N Rani had gone missing after the boat they were sailing in capsized in the lake following a fierce cyclonic storm that hit the state on Sunday.
Divers of the NDRF, SDRF and Manipur Fire Service armed with sophisticated equipment have been vigorously trying to locate the bodies.
Besides, the NDRF, SDRF and the Manipur Fire Service, a 5-member team headed by Professor Arun Kumar from the Earth Science Department of the Manipur University also joined the search operations yesterday.
