Situation continues to be tense in Doomdooma in Eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district following an offensive post in social media targetting a particular community.

Though Section 144 has been clamped in Doomdooma, Borhapjan and Longsowal miscreants set ablaze houses and shops in the Doidam tea estate.

It may be mentioned that stray incidents were reported during the 24-hour shutdown called by various groups demanding the arrest of the accused involved in the act.
