Voting for Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh assemblies will be held on April 11 simultaneously with the first phase of polling for general elections.

Sikkim will go to polls for the 32-seat Assembly, the term of which expires on May 27. The state is ruled by Sikkim Democratic Front’s Pawan Chamling who will be contending for a record sixth term.

BJP ruled Arunachal Pradesh will go to polls for 60 seats. Chief Minister Pema Khandu who took over in 2016 after the resignation of Nabam Tuki of the Congress and imposition of the President’s rule, will vie for a full term.
