Security Forces Nab Three PREPAK (Pro) Cadres, Recover Arms and Explosives in Manipur

A joint operation on Wednesday by Manipur Police and Assam Rifles resulted in the arrest of three active cadres of the proscribed militant group PREPAK (Pro) from Thoubal Athokpam in Thoubal district.
The arrested individuals, identified as Nambram Indrajit Singh, Rajkumar Mohen Sana, and Warepam Albert Meitei, also known as Thoi, were involved in extortion and illegal possession of arms. During the operation, security forces recovered one High Explosive hand grenade, five demand letters of PREPAK (Pro), three mobile phones with SIM cards, and a Honda bike from their possession.
Simultaneously, extensive search operations and area domination exercises were carried out by security forces in vulnerable areas of both hill and valley districts. From an area between Sarang Tampak and Hrinkhu in Chandel district, the forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, one 9mm pistol magazine, three locally-made mortars (Pompi), two live bombs for local mortars, and one single-barrel gun.
In another operation at Teising in Churachandpur district, security forces seized a substantial quantity of arms and ammunition, including one .303 rifle, four 12-bore single-barrel guns, one 9mm pistol, one .22 rifle, one 12-bore shotgun, eleven rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, five rounds of 9mm ammunition, two rounds of .22 ammunition, thirty-six rounds of 12-bore ammunition, one .303 rifle magazine, and one pistol magazine.
