Speaking to mediapersons, Itanagar DC Talo Potom said that if the situation continues to be peaceful, Section 144 would be lifted and the internet service in the area may also be resumed if people resume their normal lives, but if the situation does not improve, it might be extended even further. A total of 37 people including activist Sol Dodum, Tana Tamar Tara, Aam Admi Party worker, Taw Pail, Chairman of Pro Dam Movement, 4 social influencers – Nabam Sanjay, Yowa Bosco, Viral Rabha, Yowa Topu and 7 agitators – Kaku Yarda, Licha Talang, Jidam Riamuk, Gyamar Tayu, Prem Dada, Phassang Kechak and Dangi Pabin were arrested on May 9 and 10 and lodged at different locations to prevent any untoward incident.
