This was announced by AIUDF leader Aminul Islam, who said that the party would be holding discussions with Congress and other opposition parties in this regard. Meanwhile, the AIUDF has formed a five-member committee to handle the prospects for the Rajya Sabha elections.

Aminul Islam has been appointed as the convenor of the committee. This committee will be holding talks with the Congress and the other opposition parties to drum up support for the Rajya Sabha elections.
