Assam Police Foils Infiltration Attempt, Pushes 6 Illegal Immigrants Back to Bangladesh

Vigilant Sribhumi district police intercepted six infiltrators attempting to cross into India through the Assam-Bangladesh border.
Assam Police has yet again pushed back infiltrators who were trying to enter Assam from Bangladesh.
Vigilant Sribhumi district police intercepted six infiltrators attempting to cross into India through the Assam-Bangladesh border in Sribhumi district.
The incident took place early this morning, and the authorities swiftly acted to push them back into their country.
The infiltrators, identified as Ankhi, Misty Khan, Ibrahim Shaik, Md Yeakub, Reshma Begum, and Lipi Khan—all Bangladeshi nationals—were caught while trying to enter Indian territory unlawfully.
This demonstrates Assam Poluce’s commitment to maintaining border security.
Taking to X, CM Sarma applauds Assam Police for Protecting Borders from Illegal Entry. He wrote, “Crackdown on illegal infiltration continues sribhumi police intercepted & pushed back 6 illegal infiltrators back to Bangladesh early this morning. Ankhi Misty Khan Ibrahim Shaik Md Yeakub Reshma Begum Lipi Khan. Assam police is alert 24/7 to safeguard our borders.”
Earlier this month, Four Bangladeshi nationals were sent back after they were apprehended in Assam along the Indo-Bangladesh border on Monday trying to enter India illegally, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
CM Sarma, however, did not specify the district where the four Bangladeshis made attempts to enter India.
Taking to X, CM Sarma said, “Keeping a close eye on infiltration attempts! Maintaining a strict watch along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @assampolice successfully apprehended 4 illegal Bangladeshi nationals and ensured their swift pushback across the border.”
The four infiltrators have been identified as Rofiqul Kalam, Muskan, Abdul Rahman and Aktar Hussain.
“We are alert 24/7 to safeguard our borders”, Sarma added.
The Chief Minister also reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensure an infiltrator-free Assam.
