Preparations are in full swing at Ramnagar in Assam’s Silchar ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on January 4 for his first election campaign.
The Prime Minister will hold a rally at Silchar, launching the BJP’s election campaign in the state.
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP president Ranjit Das are also expected to accompany PM Modi in the election campaign.
Addressing media persons at Silchar’s BJP office yesterday, former minister Kabindra Purkasthya and District President Kaushik Rai briefed about PM Modi’s program schedule.
