The crackdown on illegal drugs trade has intensified in Arunachal Pradesh after two more traffickers landed in the police dragnet on Sunday.
The duo has been arrested from the Banderdewa area in Itanagar. Police recovered a huge quantity of suspected brown sugar, intoxicant drug Spasphen Capsule, Nitrosun Tablet, mobile handsets and cash amounting to Rs. 5,030 from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as Brindavan Burman and Shan Sonar, while a suo moto case has been registered against the duo under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
It is worth mentioning here viewers, the arrest comes only a day after two drug traffickers were arrested by state police on Friday. One of them was arrested from contesting Congress MLA Takam Pario.
