Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his greetings to the nation on the occasion of the New Year 2021.

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Wishing you a happy 2021!, May this year bring good health, joy and prosperity. May the spirit of hope and wellness prevail.”

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also conveyed his greetings to the citizens as we step into the New Year.

He said let’s welcome the New Year with the spirit of hope as we bid goodbye to a year that has taught us many life lessons through one of the most disruptive pandemics in recent memory.

Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal also wished the people of the state.

“As we step into a new year, I extend my greetings to all and pray for peace, progress and prosperity,” Sonowal said in a statement.

In his greetings Sonowal stated that 2020 has tested humanity’s patience and resilience.

“We are hopeful that the year ahead will bring good health and happiness to all. I wish the New Year takes Assam further on a higher growth trajectory bringing holistic development to all,” he added.
