Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a second visit to the poll-bound state of Tripura, addressed a mega rally at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala today.
Addressing the mass gathering, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party accusing the left and the Congress party of looting the people of Tripura for years.
“The left and the congress will always want Tripura to remain a poor state. The left, congress and the party with their mindset will want to fill their pockets by keeping the people of Tripura poor. They will break you in the name of caste, society but the people of Tripura should stick together for the bright future of their children” PM Modi said.
PM Modi said that everyone should vote for the BJP to help Tripura develop.
Modi said that the people of Tripura today support the double-engine government as they have seen development with their own eyes in the state.
Talking about the poll violence in Tripura before the BJP government, PM Modi said that the BJP government has brought peace, law, and order to the state, adding that Tripura is on the track of development.
Speaking on the Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport in Agartala, Modi said, “In the northeast, such a modern airport is possible due to the double-engine government. In Tripura, new highways are coming up. Today, in every village in Tripura, there are roads. Tripura has excelled in terms of rail connectivity.”
Launching another attack on the left and the Congress party, PM Modi said, “The loot party earlier used to loot the rations of the poor people, but the double engine government today is providing free rations to everyone.”
He also informed them that the Agartala Akauwa railing project will soon be completed.
Speaking on the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state, the Prime Minister said that the government has worked to provide free healthcare services to the people of Tripura.
“When double engine government was formed in Tripura, 3 lakhs poor families of Tripura got their homes. And those who have not got their homes we assure you that after the February 16 elections when BJP government will be formed in the state the work to provide homes to the poor families will continue.” PM Modi informed.
He also stated that thanks to the efforts of the double engine government, more than 4 lakh families in the state now have piped water supply.
