Outer Manipur MP Lorho S Pfoze has called for love and peaceful coexistence among communities to end the months long crisis in the state.

Speaking at the Daili village Platinum Jubilee celebration in Kangpokpi district on Friday, Pfoze said that Manipur has gone through a period of violence, something which was very unprecedented and the evil of violence is so strong that it has significantly disrupted normal functioning.

“Who does not want peace harmony and prosperity?, But because of whatever happened in our land, everything has almost come to a standstill. There is no economic growth. All commercial activities are going down. Our education system healthcare has come to a difficult stage,” the MP said.

He said, “It is such a time as this. We must show love and should know how to live peacefully with our neighbours. Let there be peaceful coexistence. This is the very times that we need to have peaceful consistence. Peaceful consistence can happen only when you overlook the fault of others and able to forgive wrongs that people have done to you.”

He said, “You will be able to live in peace with others, only when you consider them better than you, rather than you consider yourself better and live with pride and arrogance.”
