The protestors are demanding the regularisation of their services, a longstanding issue that remains unresolved despite previous talks with the state government. H Lalengmawia, Acting Chief Secretary of Mizoram, who also serves as the principal secretary, has issued a strong warning against the strike, cautioning that the administration may impose “severe consequences,” including potential dismissal of the protesting employees.
