Till the other day, that means, 77 years since Independence, Vijaynagar, the last Indian post in Arunachal Pradesh along the border with Myanmar, was almost an unknown location. This last circle headquarters in Changlang district of Arunachal, was not known to the outside world, just because there was no road or road connectivity between Miao and Vijaynagar. However, after collective effort by the Arunachal Pradesh government and the local administration, road communication has been finally established. The 140 km Miao-Vijaynagar road is now complete and ready….The smooth stretch of concrete is absolutely motorable making the drive to this pristine, untouched destination memorable and pleasurable. Our Dibrugarh correspondent Ripunjoy Das travelled all the way to this last Indian post along the Myanmar border to get this exclusive ground report.
