The working committee of the seven Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) have questioned the NSCN-IM’s 23-year-long negotiations with the government of India and says it was a waste of time. The NNPG has of course not named the organisation.

In a statement, NNPG Convener Kitovi Zhimomi said if after 23 years of talks the negotiating group has to stick to certain demands and not accept the Indian Constitution, then the whole effort can be seen as a waste.

Without naming the NSCN IM, Zhimomi said the organisation owes an explanation to the Naga people.
