In the wake of the row over Nagaland’s job reservation policy, the state government has decided to convene a crucial consultative meeting of the working group of the Cabinet Sub Committee along with the Civil Society Organisations on March 5.

The meeting will be held in Kohima and will look forward to resolve issues pertaining to job reservation in public employment.

This was informed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today while also adding that he hoped the people attending the meet would express their viewpoints clearly.

It may be mentioned that the row over the reservation policy in Nagaland continues with the Eastern Nagaland Students Federation (ENSF) putting forth their 6 point charter of demand with respect to Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) and a 4 point charter of demand in regards to Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).

Significantly, the ENSF in one of its charter of demands has demanded 45% reservation for the people of Eastern Nagaland.

Furthermore, CM Rio also informed that the March 5 Consultative meeting will be led by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton and Minister Neiba Kronu.
