Nagaland CM visits Naga Heritage village to review preparations for 25th Hornbill Festival

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today visited Naga Heritage village, located in the Southern Angami region of Kohima district to review the preparations for the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival to be held in December this year.
Taking to X, CM Rio wrote, “Visited the Naga Heritage Village to oversee preparations for the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival.”
Last year, the festival of festivals, Hornbill Festival was held from December 1 to 10.
Assam was the partner state, while Germany, Colombia, and the United States of America were the partner countries for the 24th Hornbill Festival.
The ten-day extravaganza was undoubtedly a euphoric celebration of Nagaland’s rich culture and traditions.
The Nagaland government organises this 10-day annual festival every year to showcase the traditional and contemporary culture of Nagaland.
The festival was first held in the year 2000 with the goals of preserving and protecting Naga culture as well as opening doors for employment and economic progress.
