Ahead of the Mizoram elections, Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Spokesperson and former MP of Rajya Sabha, Ronald Sapa Tlau today once again highlighted the key points of the party’s manifesto for poll-bound Mizoram.
Addressing the media, Ronald Sapa Tlau said that if Congress comes back to power, the party will establish a government which is transparent and free from corruption, dedicated to strengthening the village council and local urban bodies.
He said that the flagship “TANGPUIHNA” programme, which will help farmers sell their crops and help, support, and train those who aspire to thrive in agriculture, will be implemented.
He also emphasized about the Young Mizo Entrepreneurship Programme (YmElevate), which will provide young entrepreneurs with a one lakh funding opportunity.
He said that the health insurance policy would provide up to Rs 15 lakh in insurance for cashless treatment for families without regular government employment and 5 crores to be set aside for patients suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses.
Tlau said that the party assured that payments under the National Social Assistance Program for widows and those with disabilities would be increased to Rs 2,000 per month.
It will also give subsidised LPG gas at Rs 750/- per cylinder to AAY and PHH card holders and women-headed families.
