Ahead of the 2023 Meghalaya Assembly Elections, the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has decided to release the party manifesto by October.

In this regard, the HSPDP in its central executive committee meeting held on Tuesday also decided to incorporate some of the pertinent and relevant issues afflicting the State. 

It is learnt that the inter-State boundary issue and demand for a separate Khasi-Jaintia state will find prominence in the manifesto.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, HSPDP president, KP Pangniang said that the party will likely be releasing its party manifesto by the first week of October.

He added that the core issues of the party like resolving long pending inter-State boundary and demand for a separate Khasi-Jaintia will continue to find prominence in the party manifesto for the 2023 Assembly polls.

He also said that the people are yet to understand the importance of the demand for a separate Khasi-Jaintia state. 

 Meanwhile, Pangniang stated that the need to resolve the long pending inter-state boundary will continue to feature in our manifesto despite the present Government is trying to find a permanent solution to this issue.
