Meghalaya: Cong leader Vincent H Pala richest Lok Sabha candidate with joint assets worth over Rs 100 cr

Three-time Shillong Lok Sabha MP and Meghalaya Congress president, Vincent H. Pala continues to be the richest politician contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Meghalaya.

According to Pala’s affidavit, the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee president and his spouse have assets worth more than Rs 100 crore.

The gross total value of his moveable assets is over Rs 1.59 crores and that of his spouse is over Rs 91 lakhs.

Pala owns a Rolex wristwatch worth Rs 8 lakh, four iPhones worth Rs 4 lakh apart from a .38 revolver worth Rs 6 lakh.

He also owns a double-barrel gun worth Rs 50,000. Pala also owns eight vehicles and six plots of non-agricultural land while his spouse owns eight plots of non-agricultural land.

The approximate current market value of his non-agricultural land stands at Rs 87 crore while that of his wife is Rs 26 crores.

The approximate current market value of his residential building is Rs 3.75 crores and of his wife is Rs 5.5 crores.

Agatha Sangma, NPP candidate and Tura’s sitting MP has movable assets valued at Rs 52 lakhs. Her spouse has Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand cash in hand.

According to the affidavit there was no mention of a vehicle. She, however, owns two pieces of land and two commercial buildings.

The approximate current value of the two pieces of land is estimated at Rs 28 lakhs and the two commercial buildings are Rs 2.58 crores.
