Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction of the Tura-Dalu-Baghmara road.

The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction on the ongoing construction and has directed National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to further accelerate the construction so that it is completed within the stipulated time frame.

“Inspected the Tura-Dalu road funded by #JICA through @MORTHIndia and under construction by @nhidcl. Happy to see due diligence by the contractors and NHIDCL team to ensure swift completion of the project which we target to complete in the next 12 months,” Sangma tweeted.

Conrad said that the Tura-Baghmara road had remained neglected for years, and the MDA government is working in a synergistic approach to improve road communication across the State.
