Massive fire turns into ashes Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian School in Meghalaya

The iconic Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian School building in Shillong, Meghalaya was completely gutted in a massive fire that broke out in the wee hours today.
It was founded way back in 1892. A heritage building and a seat of education for the state of Meghalaya for centuries turned into ashes early this morning. The boarders lodging in the nearby boarding house narrowly escaped the fire. After receiving information, fire tenders rushed to the scene in time and successfully extinguished the blaze and stopped it from spreading to surrounding areas. As per inputs, no casualties have been reported as of now and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. More details are awaited.
