A massive eviction drive is being carried out by the District Administration at the Gana-Kuchi Reserve Forest in Barpeta District of Assam.
The eviction drive is being carried out by the district authorities under direct orders of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
The eviction is carried out to clear the lands belonging to the Forest reserve of illegal settlers.
The drive is being carried out in the presence of heavy deployment of security personnel.
