Manipur’s Sarjubala wins pro boxing CMEC series in Australia

The International Pro Boxing CMEC Series 5 tournament was organised by DMJC at Melbourne in Australia in association with World Boxing Council.
In a proud moment for Manipur and Northeast, Manipuri boxer Shamjetsabam Sarjubala has won the esteemed international Pro Boxing Middle East Crown Series (CMEC) series by defeating her Australian counterpart, Rani Klinratree in the female flyweight division.
The International Pro Boxing CMEC Series 5 tournament was organised by DMJC at Melbourne in Australia in association with World Boxing Council.
Carrying pride to her home state and the Northeast, Sarjubala has now secured 3 consecutive wins at International Pro-boxing events worldwide.
Earlier in 2022, she defeated Lulu Kayage of Tanzania in Dubai. In the same year she also defeated Khwunchit Khunya of Thailand.
Sarjubala is Former World No. 2, Youth World Boxing Champion, AIBA World Silver medallist and Gold medallist at the AIBA World Youth Boxing Championships in 2011.
Manipur Professional Boxing Council in a release thanked her training facility, Aztecs Fight Studio for providing quality training and promoting professional boxers from the state at National and International level tournaments.
