In a bid to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East Policy, 13 delegates of Myanmar arrived in Imphal on Sunday to attend a conference that will be held on June 11.
The conference is aimed at developing friendship between Indian and Myanmar and to establish good trade relationship between the two countries.
A reception ceremony was held at the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge by the Community leaders of Moreh to welcome the delegates of Myanmar.
BJP national general secretary Ram Madav, who will also be present at the conference, arrived in Imphal.
The conference will also be attended by the Governor of Manipur Dr Najma Heptulla and the Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh.
