Manipur: Section 144 imposed in Bishnupur, Churchandpur

Section 144 was imposed as a measure to control and prevent any episode of unrest and attempts to disturb public tranquillity.
The district management of Bishnupur and Churchandpur districts of Manipur has imposed section 144 of CrPC within the revenue districts for two months.

Now as per the prohibitory orders, assembly of five or more persons which can turn unlawful has been prohibited, moreover, carrying of sticks, stones, firearms, weapons, or objects which can be used as weapons have also been prohibited.
The District Magistrates in their prohibitory notice informed that there have been reports of a possibility of causing a serious breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquillity, and grave danger to human lives and properties in their Districts respectively.
