In a decisive push in Manipur, Congress-led Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance or MPSA was launched today in the poll-bound state. The alliance comprising Congress, CPI, CPM Forward Bloc, RSP and JD-S also unveiled an 18-point agenda for the assembly elections.
Senior Manipur Congress leaders along with AICC senior election observer for Manipur Jairam Ramesh was present on the occasion. The alliance pledged to have a 3 dimensional approach of determination, dedication and discipline to defeat BJP in Manipur.
Congress had already announced the formation of a pre-poll alliance with five like-minded parties ahead of the poll-battle to counter the BJP, NPP as well as the NPF. All the six parties have decided to field a common candidate in the Khurai assembly constituency. The parties will go for a friendly fight in the Kakching assembly
