Independent candidate of Keishamthong Assembly Constituency Nishikant Singh Sapam rejected the BJP’s claim of getting a majority and forming the government in the forthcoming assembly polls in Manipur.

Expressing resentment over the ticket distribution, Sapan said that the way the BJP has distributed tickets to candidates it would be difficult for the Saffron party to bag even 20 seats.

Predicting hung house in Manipur, Nishikant added that the JDU too has emerged as a strong political force and is likely to win over 7 seats.

Nishikant Singh Sapam said that even after being denied the BJP‘s ticket to face the election, team Nishikant has only gone stronger and bigger and has backed his decision to contest the poll as an Independent candidate.

He said that his team, comprising over 3000 members, has given him the much-needed support to fight the election.

He further added that he sticks to his ideology and joined politics to serve the land and the people.
