Manipur gears up to tackle any Covid eventuality

Manipur Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan informed that the state is prepareded and is ready to perform Covid-Mock drill
Manipur’s health minister, Dr Sapam Ranjan has said that the state is preparing for the COVID-Mock drill.
A press conference was held regarding COVID preparedness at the State Health Directorate on Friday evening. He further informed that the State Health Directorate had sent a notice to all district hospitals about preparing for the COVID mock drill on December 27. The state is also preparing to reactivate Covid Care Centers and put up a medical oxygen plant on standby, along with screening foreign tourists arriving from other countries.
As per the report of the state health department, which was released on December 21, the state reported zero COVID-19 active cases.
The health minister appealed that people should not panic and follow the COVID advisory given by the centre and state.
The health minister also suggested that people should not hesitate to take booster doses.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday advised states and union territories to undertake a mock drill across all health facilities on December 27 to ensure the readiness of infrastructure, with a specific focus on oxygen plants, ventilators, logistics, and human resources.
