Implementations of Indo-Myanmar Border Trade Centres are among the top agenda for Congress candidate TK Hangzo from Singngat Assemble Constituency in Churachandpur.
The Congress candidate stated that he would ensure the Behiang Border Trade Centres are implemented as per the Act East Policy if he wins the people’s mandate.
Further, Hangzo also opined that Singngat is a crucial constituency since it falls along the border with Chin Hills of Myanmar, and ethnic Chin people from the country visits their brethren in India as well as carry out trade.

He also expressed his desire to extend the Free Movement Regime (FMR) between India and Myanmar up to 60 kilometers. FMR allows people from both countries to have free access for up to 16 kilometres.
Consequently, the Congress candidate took a dig at the BJP government for cutting down on centrally sponsored schemes introduced during the Congress regime.
