Manipur: Curtain Raiser of Sangai Fest in Mao: Esii-Dziiko Trekking Route inaugurated. 200 runners take part in Sangai Marathon.

Manipur health minister Sapam Ranjan Singh today kicked off the celebrations for the Sangai Festival in the form of Curtain Raiser event. As part of this, health minister Sapam Ranjan Singh also inaugurated the Esii-Dziiko Trekking Route at Dziiko Base camp.

To mark the occasion, the Sangai Marathon Run was also flagged off from the Martyrs Park with the participation of more than 200 runners.

Health and family welfare minister Sapam Ranjan Singh in his speech stated that Manipur can become a very popular tourist hotspot as tourists visiting different places in the state are found ever increasing. The minister mentioned that people need to spread the message of beauty of cherry blossom and how the state CM has planned to conduct the cherry blossom festival during state Sangai Festival.

Meanwhile, PHED minister L Susindro Meitei who was also present on the occasion lauded the people of Mao and said that to grow up and develop together, inclusive of both Hill and Valley is the ideology of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
