Marking the first anniversary of the Biren Singh-led 2.0 BJP government in Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 112 development projects worth Rs 30.71 lakhs. CM Singh inaugurated 95 projects worth Rs 22,450.22 lakh and laid the foundation stones for 17 more projects worth Rs.7605.49 lakh totalling to Rs 30,055.71 lakhs.
The Chief Minister said that the new projects are in line with the State Government’s vision to bring inclusive development for both the hills and the valley districts under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Delivering what we have promised, it is an honour to inaugurate a total of 95 projects worth Rs.22450.22 Lakh and lay the foundation stone for 17 more projects with a worth of Rs Rs.7605.49 Lakh today,” the CM said.
As an anniversary gift, the Biren Singh cabinet approved Rs 10 lakh incentive to beneficiaries of ‘One Family, One Livelihood’ scheme launched by the government. “Out of the incentive amount of Rs 10 lakh, 30 percent will be granted in aid,” Chief Minister Singh said.
He also reiterated that the government is committed to the welfare and development of the people of Manipur.
Attending the celebrations at Senapati, CM N Biren Singh said, “Today is a very special day for all the people of the State. Known as the Jewel of India, Manipur has been transformed into a progressive and vibrant state with BJP Govt.”
The Chief Minister also played a friendly football match in Senapati. The match was held between CM’s 11 and Senapati 11.
N Biren Singh was sworn in for a second term as the Manipur Chief Minister on March 21, 2022.
