Police today picked up Neha Singha, sister-in-law of Anjan Nath who was shot dead in Khanapara on Thursday last. Neha has been picked up in connection with the killing.

Neha has confessed that she had thrown away the mobile phone used by her sister (Gitashree Singha, wife of Anjan Nath) in a drain near Zoo Road in the city, but denied any involvement in the murder.

She said that they know Saurabh Goenka, the prime accused in the crime. After the murder, Saurabh kept calling Gitashree, so they got scared that the police may find out about their link and arrest them as well, therefore Gitashree asked her to throw away the phone.
