Veteran Assamese journalist Pratap Bordoloi passed away today.
The veteran journalist breathed his last at the age of 73.
Bordoloi leaves behind his wife, Dr Ruma Bordoloi, two daughters and a son.
Bordoloi had been the deputy director of the news division of Guwahati Doordarshan Kendra.

He had also acted as the correspondent from Assam for several well known national and international media outlets.
Bordoloi had been one of the most recognisable faces from Guwahati Doordarshan for people as he had hosted several shows on the network.
Bordoloi was also the first newsreader of the Guwahati Doordarshan Kendra and had since been a prominent face of the journalistic circles of Assam.
