Jorhat Accident: Another Kaziranga University Student Dies, Death Toll Stands at 3

Kaziranga University Student Dies: The group of four students was returning to their campus when their vehicle lost control and crashed.

In a tragic incident, Kaziranga University student Irina Bodo succumbed to her injuries, becoming the third victim of the horrific Jorhat accident. Irina was battling for her life at Jorhat’s Mission Hospital but unfortunately passed away yesterday.

The devastating accident, which occurred on 12 March near Ajan Gaon in Pulibor, Jorhat, claimed the lives of Irina’s friends, Mustafa Mujahid and Irfan Hussain, on the spot.

The group of four Kaziranga University students was returning to their campus when their vehicle lost control and crashed into a road divider.

The severe impact of the collision claimed the lives of the two male students instantly, while Irina and another female student sustained critical injuries. Both were rushed to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) for treatment.

Despite the medical team’s efforts, Irina tragically lost her battle for life. Her passing has left the Kaziranga University community and the wider region in mourning, as friends, family, and fellow students grieve the heartbreaking loss of three young lives.
